Alpine Garden
From the Alpine Gardens there is a splendid view of Lake Maggiore, the Italian and Swiss Alps and five lakes. The gardens cover approximately 10 acres and are home to 1.000 different species of plant, mostly alpine varieties, and a mineral water spring. The gardens are situated 2,624 ft above Lake Maggiore and were started in 1934 thanks to the initiative of Igino Ambrosini and other plant lovers who wanted to preserve and protect the alpine flora.
