The Stresa-Alpino-Mottarone Cablecar - THE CABLECAR IS CLOSED
The Cablecar can be found on the outskirts of Stresa beside the lakeside in front of Isola Bella. It takes 20 minutes to reach an altitude of 1.491 metres with a stop half way up to change cars. A 15 minute walk at the halfway station takes one to the Alpinia Gardens with some interesting alpine flowers and plants. At the top of the Cablecar one can take the new Chairlift to the summit with beautiful views as far as the Po valley, of seven surrounding Lakes and the Alps at 360°! Mottarone is situated between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta and is a natural balcony. At the summint we find Alpyland – 1,2 km of an exciting bob slide on rails. Great fun for young and not so young! If you love nature, walking and enjoy beautiful views, or are looking for amusement or even relaxation, come and take a trip up the Cablecar with us!
